About the Author:
Grant Olsen is an award-winning writer and researcher. His adventures and photos have appeared in publications such as Smithsonian Magazine, The Independent, Field and Stream, and Outdoor Life.
Grant earned an English degree from Brigham Young University. He has a long history of partnering with the university, including working as an editor on the World War II Veterans Project. He also conducted extensive research into American Indian history and folklore. His findings won the top prize at the university's annual Research Symposium and were published by the BYU Press.
Grant articles are regularly featured on KSL.com, which is the nation's most-trafficked regional news website. His stories draw a national audience and have received more than 2.5 million page views in the past two years.
Grant is also involved in the marketing world, writing web copy and sales content for a variety of companies. He has won numerous creative and strategic thinking awards for his work.
