Biography

Kerry Owen is an advocate, visionary, and mother of five, committed to tackling poverty and food insecurity in New Zealand and the United States. As the founder of Feed The Need in New Zealand, she created innovative programs, including a free school lunch initiative that led to a government-funded program.

Kerry excels at forging partnerships with corporations and nonprofits, amplifying the impact of her initiatives. Her hands-on approach to working with those she serves has earned her respect as a social impact leader.

In Utah, Kerry leads Reach Out Today, a nonprofit empowering vulnerable children, youth, and refugees. She launched a successful transitional housing project for youth aging out of foster care, helping prevent homelessness. Known for her fresh ideas, Kerry shares her expertise through guest lectures and other platforms.

Awarded the Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit (MZNZ) by Queen Elizabeth II for her work in children's welfare, Kerry believes in the power of community to uplift those in need, balancing her charity work with a strong commitment to family life.
