Biography
Shayla Egan is a three-time world marathon runner with a passion for racing on behalf of those in need. A dedicated stay-at-home mother, she also manages a social media account, @ldspreppergirl, where she shares insights on spiritual growth and practical preparedness. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Shayla finds joy in homesteading, running, exploring the outdoors, serving others, and cherishing time with her family. She and her husband are blessed with four wonderful daughters.
Shayla grew up in a large, loving family, a foundation that shaped her appreciation for connection and community. In recent years, she experienced what she describes as a spiritual awakening, an eye-opening journey that deepened her faith and transformed her perspective. This awakening has made her more intentional in serving others and living by the teachings of Jesus Christ, guiding her actions both personally and publicly.
